ANALYTICAL CENTRE

Welcome to the Analytical Centre's Solid State and Elemental Analysis Unit (SSEAU).

We specialise in elemental analysis of bulk samples and surfaces, and molecular and microstructural analysis:

• Elemental Analysis: trace metal analysis by ICP spectrometry, major element oxides and trace elements using X-Ray Fluorescence.
• Surface Analysis: determination of elements using X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and characterisation of molecules, inorganics and polymers using Raman spectroscopy.
• Structural Analysis: molecular structure (crystallography) and study of bulk and thin-film microstructure using X-Ray diffraction.
